Die neue Kompakt-Kopfstelle PXU 848 C setzt die Inhalte von acht SAT-Transpondern, terrestrischen oder Kabelkanälen in DVB-C (QAM) um. Die Multiplexing Funktion ermöglicht die Erzeugung neuer Ausgangskanäle mit Inhalten aus verschiedenen Eingangstranspondern. Dabei können über eine Smartcard die Inhalte aus verschiedenen Transpondern entschlüsselt und die Kapazitäten der Smartcards optimal ausgenutzt werden.
